Boehringer Ingelheim Appoints New Member to Board of Managing Directors

  • Harsha Deshmukh has been named a member of the Board of Managing Directors, taking charge of IT and Global Business Services, effective February 1, 2026.

Boehringer Ingelheim confirmed today that its Shareholders’ Committee has appointed Harsha Deshmukh to the Board of Managing Directors. From February 1, 2026, Harsha Deshmukh will lead the IT and Global Business Services functions, with a focus on digital transformation and advancing the company’s business services. The IT and Global Business Services functions, previously integrated within the Group Functions Division, will be established as a distinct Board Division.

In his comments regarding the appointment, Hubertus von Baumbach, Chairman of the Boehringer Shareholders’ Committee, stated: “We extend a warm welcome to Harsha Deshmukh. Harsha Deshmukh will transition to Boehringer Ingelheim from Infineon Technologies AG in Munich, where his most recent role was Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer. His academic background includes degrees in Electronics, Human Resources, and Global Management from the University of Mumbai, Babson College, and INSEAD.
