CVFA remains at the top of PFF U-19 Boys nationals

THE Central Visayas Football Association (CVFA) and Socsargen RFA split the points in the third match day of Group B of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Under-19 Boys National Championship Division 1 following a 1-1 draw at the Dynamic Herb Sports Complex in Talisay City on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

CVFA, a winner of its two previous matches, took the early lead with a goal from Gianrenzo Custado in the 24th minute.

Mark Davidas, however, scored the equalizer in the 60th minute to force a draw.

On the other hand, Davao-South RFA (DSRFA) beat Panay FA (PFA), 1-0, to close in on the second spot of Group B.

Roent Sia scored the lone goal for DSRFA in the sixth minute.

Meanwhile, Camiguin-Misamis Oriental RFA (CMORFA) came from behind to force a 2-2 draw with Zamboanga Del Norte Dipolog FA (Zandifa).

Zandifa took the lead early in the match with a 12th-minute goal by George Cabalida. Ramil Bation III doubled the lead in the 64th minute after hitting the back of the net.

CMORFA came alive late in the match and scored a goal in the 74th minute, compliments of John Magalzo II. Dave Dacillo scored the timely equalizer in the first minute of added time.

CVFA still remains at the top with seven points, followed by PFA with six points. Socsargen RFA is third with five points, DSRFA is fourth with four points, Zandifa is fifth with a point and CMORFA is last with also a point but behind on goal difference.
