Chevron employees do ‘KonMari’ for a cause

Marie Kondo is the consultant and author who took the world by storm with her so-called KonMari Method of organizing, made popular through a Netflix series. Recently, Chevron employees leveraged her lessons on how to declutter “for better clarity, efficiency and productivity in both personal and professional lives.” The workshop and donations were part of Chevron Philippines, Inc. (CPI) 2021 Volunteer Week. The activity, called Project Joy, taught Chevron employees Ms. Kondo’s minimalist approach to decluttering.

They were encouraged to let go of things that no longer spark joy in their lives but may be beneficial to others, particularly to disadvantaged families in Naic, Cavite. CPI made the donations through Project Pearls, which handed out the various household items to families in Brgy. Malainen, Bago, Naic, Cavite, and a relocation site for families from Tondo, Manila. Chevron Volunteer Week is an annual week-long volunteerism activity of CPI that bridges the gap between those who are willing to help and those who are willing to receive help.
