Because of the long hiatus of football tournaments and the decade-long support of the Sinulog Cup, many teams from different locations and age brackets came to compete. Age brackets as young as under seven to professional-level teams wowed roaring fans and football enthusiasts with each team’s athleticism.
The Cebu Football Engineers reigned in the Men’s Professional division and Cebu Urduja B in the Women’s Open. In the Mix Under-7 division, Cebu United FC won the championship and Don Bosco Magone in Boys under-19 category. At the end of the weekend, thirteen champions in the available brackets of the Sinulog Cup brought home the gold.
The Central Visayas Football Association has hosted the Sinulog Football Club for more than 10 years. The CVFA is an organization that intends football as a means of grassroots development for young teams. CVFA’s mission is to uplift team skills to find and train the best football players in the Philippines.
The widely participated Sinulog Football Cup was successful in partnership with Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex. Engineer Nilo Ferraren, one of the event’s organizers, commends Dynamic Herb Stadium as a “first-class football field in the city.”

Interested kids and teens can take classes in the stadium held by Cebu Football Club. CFC Academy has football classes for students every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for ages 3-19.
