OVER 166,000 individuals from Cebu City have already received their first Covid-19 booster shot.Data from the Cebu City Health Department revealed that the 166,241 individuals who got their first booster shot were part of the 848,708 city residents who already completed the first two Covid-19 vaccine doses provided during the beginning of the Covid vaccination campaign.Aside from those who got their first booster, around 13,450 people living in the city were able to secure their second booster shot, Cebu City Health Department chief Dr. Jeffrey Ibones said on Friday, July 29, 2022.As for the pediatric vaccination, Ibones reported that 46,835 children aged five to 11 have received their first Covid-19 vaccine dose; 37,569 children have already gotten their second dose.For children ages 12 to 17, 76,472 of them have gotten their first dose; 68,535 others have gotten their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine; and 1,801 in the same age group have been vaccinated with their first booster shot, Ibones said.Ibones further said that they are still holding vaccination across the city to ensure that all of the residents will be protected against Covid-19. The city has Covid-19 vaccination sites at the City Hall and at Ayala Center Cebu in Cebu Business Park.Aside from their vaccination sites, Ibones added that they are also bringing their “Toktok Bakuna” campaigns to other areas in the city to bring Covid-19 vaccination closer to their constituents.(PAC / JKV)
