3 Villamor Boxing Gym pugs to see action in Bohol

CHRISTIAN Balunan, Reymart Tagacanao and RJ Siose of the Villamor Boxing Gym are all seeing action in “Kumong Bol-anon IV” this April 23, 2022 in Dauis, Bohol.Balunan steps in the ring for his third pro fight against Jomari Ladera in a six-rounder.Balunan has so far shown that he’s one of the most promising young pugs of famed Cebuano boxing trainer Edito Villamor after two impressive wins. The 22-year-old Consolacion, Cebu native dropped Roga Libres three times and knocked him out in the opening round of his pro debut in 2021. He followed up that win with a lopsided unanimous decision over Jelou Libres on March 7.Ladera is eager to bounce back after losing his last fight against Ian Abne via a second round stoppage here in Cebu.Balunan is 2-0 with a knockout, while Ladera is 2-2 with a knockout.Tagacanao (1-0, 1 KO), on the other hand, takes on Miel Beronio.Tagacanao, a native of Carcar City, Cebu made his pro debut last March 7 with a third round knockout of Henry Flor.Meanwhile, former Palarong Pambansa gold medalist RJ Siose makes his pro debut against Francis Luis Lota.“I expect them to give the Boholanos a good fight and that they will win impressively,” Villamor said of his three wards.In the main event, Jake Amparo (7-3-1, 2 KOs) locks horns with Roldan Sasan (8-2, 3 KOs) for the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Asia Pacific minimumweight belt.Also in the card, Antonio Seismundo (7-3, 7 KOs) slugs it out with John Lawrence Ordonio (7-2-1, 4 KOs), Johnriel Castino (9-1, 4 KOs) trades leathers with Remon Basas (6-6, 4 KOs), Angilou Dalogdog (3-0, 2 KOs) faces off with Jimpol Dignos (2-2, 1 KO), Shane Gentallan (2-0, 1 KO) is up against Darwin Boyones (3-2, 1 KO), Daniel Nicolas (3-0, 2 KOs) is fighting Mark Anthony Rotilles (2-8, 1 KO), Rey Dogelio (1-0, 1 KO) takes on Joselito Malinao (0-1), Rodel Fuentes (0-1) clashes with Mario Baja, Frances Damloan squares off with Zaire Espedilla and Alex del Rio (2-0, 2 KOs) faces off with Roga Libres (3-17).Rodel Suganob and Ranelio Quizo were supposed to fight for the vacant WBF Asia Pacific super flyweight belt in the main event.
