341 individuals get Covid-19 jab during night vaccination drive

A TOTAL of 341 individuals were vaccinated by Mandaue City’s evening vaccination campaign at the city’s sports complex on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021.

The night vaccination operations were dubbed by the City as “Tara Shots sa Gabi-i: Mandaue City Vaccination At Night.”

The 341 individuals who were vaccinated were part of the A4 priority subgroup, which consisst of other frontliners and essential workers.

Ernie Manatad, Mandaue City’s Association of Barangay Councils president and head of the City’s Vaccine Board, told SunStar Cebu that they initiated the evening vaccination after they received requests from other essential workers who could not get vaccinated during the day because of their busy schedule.

Manatad said they consider the request and came up with the night vaccination initiative to address the other essential workers’ plea.

Schedule

On the first night of vaccination, Manatad said they were able to manage the vaccinees scheduled to get their injection.

Manatad emphasized that those under the A4 priority subgroup who already acquired their first dose before the City initiated the evening vaccinations may still avail themselves of the program.

The night vaccination is scheduled every Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Mandaue City Sports Complex.
