75 police personnel deployed to Talisay City to help maintain peace, order in lead up to fiesta

THIRTY-FIVE more police personnel from the Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) have been deployed to Talisay City, which celebrates its annual fiesta in honor of Sta. Teresa de Avila on October 15, 2022.

A total of 75 police personnel from the PMFC are currently stationed in the city to help local police maintain peace and order in the lead up to and during the fiesta celebration, according to Lieutenant Colonel Randy Caballes, chief of the Talisay City Police Station.

“Sakto-sakto ra man tong 40 pero gidugangan lang gyud para mas-secured ang maong kapiyestahan,” Caballes said.

(The initial 40 augmentation force was enough but they added 35 more just to make sure.)

Anyone caught making trouble will be charged in court, he warned.

Caballes said their aim is to have a safe and peaceful fiesta celebration.

The police official earlier said he expected many people to flock to several activities organized by the City Government that included a night market at the Liberation Park in Barangay Poblacion, a singing contest at the Talisay City Hall Plaza in Barangay Lawaan 2 and concerts at the Talisay City Central School grounds in Barangay Poblacion.
