TO PREVENT the spread of Covid-19 in Balamban town, Cebu, Mayor Alex Binghay has ordered the closure of billiard halls, karaoke bars, internet cafes and disco bars.
Binghay issued Executive Order No. 3, which tasks the local police to implement the mayor’s directive.
The move from the Office of the Mayor came after it observed that several establishments in Balamban failed to observe the minimum health protocol such as social distancing and wearing of masks.
Copies of the executive order were distributed by Municipal Hall employees to the establishments.
Binghay also ordered the strict implementation of the curfew.
As of Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, Balamban had 13 active cases of Covid-19. (ANV)
