Cabrera on the road to recovery after collapse

BIG man Roider Cabrera said he is grateful for all the assistance he has received as he continues on the road to recovery after collapsing after a game in the PBA 3×3 tournament four months ago.In a post on Facebook, the Terrafirma big man provided an update on his condition, saying that while he already is better, he also has a long way to go.“My family and I wholeheartedly thank everyone who has helped in my recovery, be it financially or through your prayers. Your prayers gave me strength,” said Cabrera.“To everyone who sent me a message, I may not be able to mention each one but I truly appreciate your message of support.”The post relayed that it was Cabrera’s sister, Rachel, that posted the message, taking cue from the injured basketball player.“He can talk but he still feels weak,” posted Cabrera’s sister, Rachel. “He still has a hard time balancing and he’s not able to stand on his own yet.”Cabrera’s family is hopeful that the tube in the basketball player’s trachea will finally be removed this month. Cabrera said that he still isn’t out of the woods just yet and appealed for help.“I still need tests, operations, and continued medication, so I’m appealing to your hearts—I am very thankful for all your prayers and support. Please continue to be with me in this fight. Thank you and God bless.”
