CALTEX, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), and Landers Superstore in Cebu donated goods to barangays in Cebu that are still reeling from the devastation of Typhoon Odette (Rai).Cebu is one of the five provinces in Visayas where Odette left massive damage to crops, infrastructure, livelihood, houses and human lives in December last year. Residents endured months of limited electricity, food and water made more difficult by the pandemic.With that, Caltex announced its Biyaheng Pagtulong promo earlier this year to support and help areas that were badly hit by Odette.Caltex in partnership with Landers Superstore, prepared a total of 1,009 relief packs for the affected families. The Philippine Army helped distribute the donations to residents of barangays Apas, Inayawan and Kinasang-an in Cebu City, and in barangays Catarman and Hilotungan Island in Mactan Island.“Caltex will always be willing to extend help in times of disaster and support recovery of those who are badly affected. Helping people overcome challenges in their journey is part of our corporate values in Caltex. We would also like to acknowledge Landers and the Philippine Army for helping us turn over these items to affected Cebuano families.
