Castino faces Francisco for WBF AsPac belt in Bohol

JHUNRILLE Castino will trade leathers with Jeffrey Francisco for the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Asia Pacific super bantamweight strap June 26 in the main event of “Kumong Bol-anon 5” in Maribojoc, Bohol.Castino looks to continue his streak and guns for his first regional belt. The 23-year-old Castino won his last six contests since suffering his first career defeat in 2018, a split decision loss to Emmanuel Mogawa.Castino is coming off a technical decision win over Remon Basas.Francisco should be a stiff test for Castino because the former has fought some elite fighters in his weight division, the likes of former world world title challenger Jason Moloney, who beat him by unanimous decision.The 29-year-old Francisco is on a two-bout slump, losing to Russian Valery Tretyakov and Gary Tamayo.Castino is 10-1 with four knockouts, while Francisco is 15-4-1 with a knockout.In the undercard, Jake Amparo (8-3-1, 2 KOs) takes on Ernesto Alera (5-7-1), Marzon Cabilla (18-21-1, 6 KOs) slugs it out with fellow veteran Kim Lindog (6-13-1, 4 KOs), undefeated Daniel Nicolas (4-0, 3 KOs) locks horns with Marjon Piencenaves (6-4-1, 4 KOs), unbeaten Shane Gentallan (3-0, 1 KO) squares off with Ramil Yacapin (2-5, 2 KOs), Reymart Tagacanao (1-0, 1 KO) is fighting newcomer Dan Lewie Claridad, RJ Sios-e (1-0, 1 KO) is up against Carlos Agustin (0-2) and Gerwin Asilo faces off with fellow debutant Christian Tiburon.
