THE Cebu Provincial Government has allocated P70.1 million in funding for two infrastructure projects in Ginatilan, a fifth-class municipality in southwest Cebu with 14 barangays and a population of 16,906, based on the 2020 census.

The municipality had a total revenue of P57 million in 2016.

A total of P11.28 million will be used to build the Paradahan Reinforced Concrete Deck Girder (RCDG) Bridge, while the remaining P58.82 million will be used to pave the road leading to Inambakan Falls, one of the falls in southern Cebu that attracts many tourists, according to Sugbo News, the Capitol media portal.

Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia presided over the groundbreaking for the projects during the stopover of the Caravan of Government Services in Ginatilan on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Garcia also handed over P8 million in financial assistance to each of the municipalities in the seventh district, including Ginatilan, Ronda, Alcantara, Badian, Alegria and Malabuyoc and P7.8 million to Moalboal.
