Cebuano 31st SEA Games medalists set to be honored

CEBUANO medalists from the 31st Southeast Asian Games will be showcased in a meet-and-greet at the City Wing Atrium of the SM Seaside City on Saturday, June 11, 4 p.m.The contingent of medalists in “Homecoming of 2022 SEA Games Medalists,” which is organized by the Cebu City Government together with the Cebu City Sports Commission, are basketball stars Junemar Fajardo and Roger Pogoy; decorated Billiards player Rubileen Amit; Olympic weightlifter Elreen Ando; dance sports’ Angelo Marquez, Wilbert Aunzo and Pearl Marie Canede; bowler Alexis Sy; Sepak Takraw’s Rheyjey Ortuoste; and triathletes Andrew Kim Remolino and Raven Faith Alcoseba.Fajardo and Pogoy were with the Philippine Men’s Basketball Team that finished with a silver medal after losing to Indonesia.Amit won gold medal in Billiards, while Ando snagged a silver medal in the 64 KG category in weightlifting.Marquez won a gold in Solo Dance Chacha and silver medals in Solo Dance Jive and Latin Grade A 5 Dance categories.Aunzo won silver in the Solo Dance Samba, bronze in Solo Dance Rumba and Solo Dance Pasa Doble events. Canede bagged a silver in the Solo Dance Samba and a bronze in Solo Dance Rumba and Solo Dance Pasa Doble categories.Sy snagged a silver in the Women’s Singles event of the Bowling tournament.Ortuoste won a bronze medal with the Philippine Sepak Takraw team.Remolino clinched the silver in the Elite Triathlon Men, while Alcoseba settled for a bronze in the Elite Triathlon Women.
