The City Treasurer’s Office announced that the processing of business permit renewal will also be held on Jan. 7 at the same venue.
Applicants are advised to renew their business permit on or before Jan. 20 to avoid paying the surcharge or penalty.
Based on an advisory issued by outgoing City Treasurer Mare Vae Reyes, those who will renew their business permits beyond Jan. 20 will be slapped with a 25 percent surcharge of the total amount paid and an additional two percent interest for every month of delay.
Reyes said they will accept payment through cash or manager’s check.
The Cebu City Government also accepts business permit applications and payments online.
Reyes urged business owners or their representatives to visit their website https://www.cebucity.gov.ph for further information.
Currently, there are 38,000 mayor’s business permits in the city that are up for renewal. (PAC / TPT)
