THE Danao City Government has suspended the work and classes on Monday, April 11, 2022 due to Tropical Storm Agaton.The city government announced this through its Facebook page on Sunday evening after it was hoisted under Tropical Cyclone Warming Signal No. 1, along with other areas in Cebu including Compostela, Liloan, Camotes Islands, Carmen, Catmon, Sogod, Borbon, Tabuelan, Daanbantayan, Medellin, Bantayan Islands, City of Bogo, San Remegio, and Tabogon.Students and teachers are advised to refrain from traveling amid the possibility of flooding, landslides, as well as slippery roads.Emergency front liners, however, should report to work to monitor the flood and landslide prone areas in the mountain and coast barangays in the city.For workers in private companies, the discretion to suspend their work will depend on the management but Mayor Nito Durano said they should also consider the security of their employees and their respective families as well.
