A 25-YEAR-OLD man from Cebu believed to be a cohort of the late self-confessed drug lord Franz Sabalones was arrested by the police in Barangay Kibogtok, Kadingilan town, Bukidnon on Monday morning, April 11, 2022.The suspect was caught based on an arrest warrant issued against him for allegedly raping his two cousins on multiple occasions in Dalaguete, Cebu from 2012 to 2021. Gilfred Baroman, Dalaguete town police chief, said the suspect was identified as the “most wanted man in Central Visayas” based on the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas’ records.Baroman said the suspect was accused by his relatives of raping two of his cousins, both minors at the time, in Dalaguete back in 2012.The victims were aged eight and nine when they were allegedly raped by the suspect.Baroman said the abuse reportedly continued until 2021 when the victims decided to file a complaint against the suspect on Aug. 2 last year.After finding out that his cousins had filed a complaint, the suspect left Cebu and traveled to Bukidnon to live with a relative.Police were able to locate the suspect after one of his relatives reported to the police of his current whereabouts.Baroman said they coordinated with the police station in Kadingilan town to arrest the suspect.The suspect is set to be transferred to Cebu to face the charges against him.
