A 39-YEAR-OLD woman was shot dead by her husband inside the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) Office in the City of Naga, Cebu Sunday, December 25, 2022.
The victim was identified as Heronia Mata, 39, a resident of Sitio Tabtoy, Barangay Tuyan, City of Naga.
Authorities identified the suspect as Police Staff Sergeant Fernando Mata, 35, who was a former member of the Special Weapon and Tactics of Talisay City Police Station and currently assigned at Naga City Police Station.
According to initial reports, Heronia was inside the WCPD when the shooting happened.
The victim was immediately brought to the hospital but later on, pronounced dead.
The suspect is now detained. (BBT)
