DOH 7 gets 68,440 more doses of Sinovac

THE Department of Health (DOH) 7 received an additional 68,440 doses of Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday morning, June 29, 2021.

Dr. Van Philip Baton, DOH 7 medical program coordinator for infectious diseases, relayed this information to the Cebu media; however, he has yet to give the exact allocation per local government unit.

The 68,440 doses of Sinovac vaccine are an addition to the total of 804,510 doses of mixed Covid-19 vaccine brands that arrived in Central Visayas starting on June 23.

Meanwhile, a total of 88,186 eligible individuals in Cebu are fully vaccinated as of Monday, June 28, based on the data from all public and private sector vaccination centers in Cebu—45,871 are from Cebu City; 13,521 are from Mandaue City; 7,294 are from Lapu Lapu City, and 21,500 are from Cebu Province.

The DOH 7 reported that 198,809 individuals who received their first dose are also waiting for their second dose as of Monday.

In a separate development, the Project Balik Buhay said the submission of company and registration applications for its vaccination initiative is still ongoing.

It has also activated two other vaccination centers, one at SM Seaside City Cebu’s Sky Hall on the mall’s third level and SM City Cebu’s Cebu Trade Hall on the third level. (WBS)
