THE Department of Tourism (DOT), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Manpower Development and Placement of the Cebu City Government, has slated the “Trabaho Turismo Asenso!” Philippine tourism job fair on Sept. 22-23, 2022 at the SM City Cebu.The activity aims to link workers adversely displaced during the height of the pandemic some two years ago, and considering employment opportunities in the recovering tourism industry.The multi-month series of job fairs will start on Sept. 22 2022 and conclude in May 2023 to mark the 50th DOT founding anniversary. The job fair will also be simultaneously held in SMX Convention Center Manila and Abreeza Mall Davao.“The Trabaho Turismo Asenso! Philippine Tourism Job Fair will help our fellow Filipinos find jobs while helping the accommodation and services sector address workforce shortages, resulting in the continued recovery of the tourism industry,” the DOT said in a statement.
