Marmehelbert Rizon Delos Reyes, 48, identified the suspect as Airon Cris Mancao.
Mancao, who has pending arrest warrant for illegal drug case, hails from Sitio Hayunan in the barangay, while Delos Reyes’ house is located in Sitio Dakong Dalan.
SSgt. John Mark Canonigo of the Argao Police Station told SunStar Cebu that after the shots were fired, Delos Reyes peered through the window and saw the suspect a few meters from his house hopping on a motorcycle and leaving.
Canonigo said local police had arrested the suspect in a buy-bust operation.
Delos Reyes served as a witness when the police inventoried the illegal drugs seized from the suspect.
Mancao reportedly held a grudge against the councilor after that.
Police are conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect. (GPL / TPT)
