There will be some important things to happen in my 2023 calendar. I will spend much time preparing for my manuscript, “The Journey,” a descriptive evolution of the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Dramatics and Cultural Ensemble (Drac), from 1964 to 2000.
Aside from my academic tasks in USJ-R as faculty (Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; founder of the Little Theater, High School department; founder of CSJ-R/USJ-R Drac then USJ-R Drac-Allef (Amparito Llamas Lhuillier Educational Foundation) with Dr. Amparito L. Lhuillier, as its major benefactress) I produced and directed musicales and cultural performances in locations across the globe (Singapore, China, Russia, United States, etc.).
The philosophy behind this endeavor was to enrich the teaching of arts, culture, literature and English, with theater craft as one realistic approach to education. Likewise, the artistic skills and confidence building of the students will be developed.
