MACTAN Economic Zone – Facilities, Maintenance and Environmental Association (MEZ-Famea) held its second membership meeting and technical sharing on July 22, 2022, at Goldberry Suites and Hotel, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.Luzon LNG Terminal Inc. (LLTI) is a partnership between Topline Energy and Excelarate Energy. The collaboration between the two celebrated energy distributors will bring cleaner and more sustainable energy to Cebu soon. It also marks the first step of LNG distribution in the province.LNG, or otherwise known as “liquified natural gas,” is the cleanest fossil fuel option on the market. The utilization of LNG is a combative approach to reducing greenhouse gases and stopping global warming.In its collaboration, Excelerate Energy and Topline intend to establish Cebu as an LNG logistics center in Visayan Islands, supplying LNG while utilizing ISO tanks to the surrounding islands and any consumer across the country, regardless of their size and location.LLTI’s overall aim is to build and develop LNG terminals and power plant infrastructures over the next few years. In doing so, LLTI is able to move forward in providing access to clean and sustainable energy to the Cebuano population. Its primary objective is to be a reputable clean energy provider in the country and positively impact not only people’s lives but also the environment the future generations will inherit.With Excelerate Energy and Topline Energy’s noble objectives and aims, Cebu is one step closer to saving the environment that has been neglected and tarnished over the years.
