ABOUT 44 large and small-scale enterprises have joined the Mandaue Expo conducted by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.During the event’s launching on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, MCCI president Kelie Ko said the activity aims to promote local businesses, particularly those in Mandaue City.The event is part of the Mandaue Business Month celebration in August.Ko added that the activity’s goal is to invite investors to venture into Mandaue to market their business or establish partnerships among the existing local businesses in the city.“It shows people they can go to Mandaue and search for their desired products there. We want to help our members (business firms) to find new customers and customers to find suppliers,” said Ko.At least 44 stalls are available at the expo, showcasing different products such as food, furniture and furnishings, as well alas health and wellness products.For food businesses, among the exhibitors are A.D Gothong Mfg. Corp., Virginia Foods Inc., Gold Leaf Food Concept, King’s Quality Food Inc., Belcris Food, Inc., Equilibrium Intertrade Corp., Dunkin Donut, Golden Roast Chicken, Inc., Didang’s Masareal, Gardenia Bakeries Phil., San Miguel Food, Inc., San Miguel Brewery, Inc., Ginebra San Miguel Inc., and Phil. Spring Water Resources.For the furniture and furnishings sector, some exhibitors include Dierde Export Trading, S&V Home Decors, Gesalem Design Center, Uratex, Southern Synergy Sales Mktg. and Macro Furniture.International Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Jelma Philippines Inc. are among the exhibitors in the health and wellness section.The exhibit also features Maayo Hotel & Resorts, Cebu Grand Hotel, Waterworld Cebu, San Remigio Properties, Alpa Land Suites, and Bai Hotel to help the tourism sector with their recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.It also features Sugbo Negosyo beneficiaries, whose businesses were aided by the Provincial Government.Aside from shopping for products, there are also livelihood seminars conducted by San Miguel Foods limited to 20 persons per session on a first-come-first-served basis.There will be cooking demonstrations, such as pasta and pizza cooking using San Miguel products. There is also a seminar on business planning, starting a cart business, and how to make carenderia business profitable, Girlie Garces, Mandaue Expo chairperson, said.The Mandaue Expo runs from Friday until Aug. 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is free and open to all.
