Fair offers close to 2,000 jobs

MORE than 1,700 job vacancies await jobseekers in the region as the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole 7) in partnership with Filipino-owned job website Mynimo holds a virtual jobs fair to commemorate Labor Day on May 1, 2021.

Mynimo CEO and founder Wesley Chiongbian said about 70 companies that are in good standing have joined the virtual activity dubbed ‘2021 Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Jobs and Business Fair.’

Among the top fields open for employment are Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Information Technology, healthcare, sales, and skilled work.

The top locations are Cebu, Bohol, and Dumaguete.

Chiongbian said jobseekers may now access these vacancies at “www.mynimo.com/dole7-jobs”.

“As of yesterday (April 29), we have gathered 4,000 registrants and we expect even more as the event goes on,” he said.

Meanwhile, several government agencies have joined Dole 7’s virtual One Stop Shop (OSS).

Among them are the Social Security System, Pag-Ibig Fund, Philippine Regulatory Commission, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine Statistics Authority, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Luchel Taniza, Dole 7 information officer, said jobseekers can check on the link for the TNK jobs and business fair.

She said on the landing page are the logos of the different agencies participating in the OSS.

All one has to do is to click on the logo of a particular agency to get to its official page, Taniza explained.

Aside from the jobs fair, Dole 7 will conduct a free 10-hour training on Basic Occupational Safety and Health from May 1 to 2.

The training is open to micro enterprises and small and medium enterprises with less than 50 workers. (WBS)
