AROUND 30 families were displaced by the fire that hit 15 houses in a residential area on 8B A. Lopez St., Barangay Labangon, Cebu City Thursday afternoon, Feb. 16, 2023.
The Cebu City Fire Office estimated the worth of damage to property at P1.2 million.
It said 13 houses were destroyed, while two others were partially burned.
Investigation revealed that the fire started in the house owned by Segundina Jacalan. It then spread to other houses in the area.
No fatalities and injuries have been recorded as of 5 p.m. Thursday.
Firefighters declared the fire out at 4:49 p.m., approximately 45 minutes after it broke out. (EKV)
