IF EVER he wins a seat in the Senate, former Vice President Jejomar Binay said he would push for more direct international flight arrivals in Cebu to aid the recovery of the tourism industry in the province and the entire Central Visayas.Binay, 79, said there is a need to maximize the capacity of Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Lapu-Lapu City so as to help decongest the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City.By having more direct international flight arrivals at MCIA, the former vice president said it would cut the travel time, allowing tourists, foreigners in particular, to spend more time in their destinations.Sen.
