Gasoline, kerosene prices expected to go up this week

FUEL companies have announced another round of oil pump price hikes starting Tuesday, Dec. 27.

This marks the second straight week of increases for gasoline and kerosene.

In its fuel forecast for Dec. 27, 2022 to Jan. 2, 2023, Unioil Philippines noted that while diesel chould go down by P0.50 to P0.60 per liter, gasoline would have increased by P0.60 to P0.70 per liter.

In separate advisories, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. also announced said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.95 and kerosene by P0.50, while rolling back those of diesel by P0.20.

The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. starting Tuesday.

Latest data available from the Department of Energy showed that year-to-date adjustments stood at a net increase of P13.95 per liter for gasoline, P27.50 per liter for diesel, and P20.80 per liter for kerosene as of Dec. 20, 2022.

Other fuel firms have yet to announce their price adjustments this week.
