Gov’t. promo: Be vaxxed, win upto P1 million cash

TO encourage more people to have themselves vaccinated against the Covid-19, the National Government has launched “Resbakuna Bakunado Panalo,” a program that will give vaccinated individuals nationwide a chance to win cash prizes amounting to P3 million.

Mary Jean Loreche, Visayas Covid-19 Vaccination Operations Center (VVOC) spokesperson, said fully-vaccinated individuals and those who received one of the two-dose series of the Covid-19 vaccine can register to the e-raffle by sending his or her name, age, and address to 8933 for free.

The next step requires the registered vaccinated individual to join the raffle by sending his vaccine brand, his local government unit (LGU), dose number, and date of vaccination to 8933.

A payment of P1 will be required to join the e-raffle.

The vaccinee will receive a confirmation text for the raffle entry which will go into the Bakunado Panalo database and then to Resbakuna Bakunado Panalo E-Raffle Database for all raffle draws.

Up to 100 vaccinated individuals can win the cash prizes.

Loreche said every month starting September until December, 25 individuals will win P5,000.

For the grand draw, 10 entries will be picked to win P100,000 each as third prize, one entry will win P500,000 for the second prize and P1 million will go to the first prize winner.

Rafi incentives

Meanwhile, the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (Rafi) launched its “Barangay Nga Kugihan sa Pagpabakuna Naay Ayuda” (BAKUNA) Award initiative in support of Metro Cebu’s seven LGUs and local vaccine operations centers.

Loreche said the Rafi initiative is a performance-based incentive award system given to the top 5 performing barangays of each LGU who have made “extraordinary campaign efforts.”

There will be three incentive awards: the Top 5 Performing Barangays, the Individual LGU Awards, and the Individual Awards.

Winners for the Top 5 Performing Barangays will be awarded P50,000, P45,000, P40,000, P35,000, and P30,000 respectively.

For the individual LGU Awards, the barangay with the highest senior jabs accomplishment (full dose), the first barangay to achieve 70 percent herd immunity (full dose), and the first barangay to achieve 100 percent herd immunity (full dose) will each receive P20,000.

For the individual awards, winners will receive P50,000, P40,000, P35,000, P25,000, and P15,000 each.

The winners will be picked through a raffle draw conducted by RAFI and the LGU.

Vaccine arrival

As of Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, Central Visayas had yet to receive the second component of Gamaleya Institute’s Sputnik V although a total of 15,000 doses of the vaccine brand had been delivered to the National Capital Region on Tuesday night, Sept. 1.

“We were not able to receive any for our second doses. Let’s not worry, hopefully, next week there will be guidelines and announcements from national government for those that were given the first dose of Gamaleya,” Loreche said in a mix of English and Tagalog.

Loreche said the region was able to vaccinate 10,542 individuals with Sputnik V.

Of this number, only 297 were able to get a second dose of the vaccine while 9,545 await their second dose of Sputnik V.

Loreche also said Central Visayas received 50,310 additional doses of Pfizer on Sept. 1; however, the VVOC still has to allocate them as they are still waiting for the PTR, a certificate attached to all received vaccines from the National Government.

As of Thursday, Sept. 2, a total of 1,477,345 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the entire Cebu; of which, 892,195 were used as first dose and 585,150 were administered as second dose.
