SunStar’s Best of Cebu 2022, presented by Primary Homes Inc., promises to be the best search yet as it looks to expand its categories within Cebu’s lifestyle segment.Since its inception in 2013, this annual release has given recognition to the best and brightest local brands in Metro Cebu. Whether one is looking for the best restaurant in town or the best resort on the island, there is no better guide than Best of Cebu.For brands or businesses interested in making the short-list, here are this year’s guidelines:* The search for Best of Cebu 2022 continues to include both home-based businesses and established brands across all categories.* Every day, Best of Cebu will post a category through its Facebook page, and ask followers online to tag the brands they know and love in the comments section. Note: Best of Cebu is not a popularity contest. There is no need to flood the comment section by repeatedly tagging favorites.* Part of the judging process includes the Best of Cebu team ordering from the nominated brands, and doing secret inspections or random visits onsite.* Brands nominated in a Best of Cebu category undergo three levels of judging:1) A “blind” test by the Best of Cebu committee that results in a shortlist of nominees for each category.2) A “blind” test of the shortlisted nominees by the Best of Cebu judges.3) A comparison of the results from the tests between the committee and the judges, determining the winners for Best of Cebu 2022.As always, brands will be judged based on the overall quality of their products, consistency and customer service.Categories will be announced soon, so follow @SunStarBestofCebu on Facebook and Instagram to keep updated.
