Hustling Bulldogs overcome deficit to stun Maab Falcons in ABL Season 1

THE Hustling Bulldogs rallied from a double-digit deficit to take down the Maab Falcons, 101-95, in the opening gameday of the Aspirants Basketball League Season 1 on Sunday at the Cebu Port Authority gym.Trailing by 11, 39-50, at halftime, the Bulldogs turned things around in the last 20 minutes of action and rode the hot shooting of James Vidal and Yuan Ochea to pull off the victory.Vidal had 31 points, five rebounds, and two assists, while Ochea added 18 markers.In other games, the Undefeated Lions pulled away in the fourth canto to defeat the Deo Et Patria Eagles, 101-85. Up by just four at the end of the third, the Lions roared in the last canto, uncorking a massive 32-20 run to hack out the win. Juban Tubay had 16 points to lead the Lions, while Jabby Bautista fired in 13 markers.And finally, the Payhiram Wolves routed the Shoeki Pythons, 82-62. It didn’t take long for the Wolves to assert themselves as they led by 21, 33-12, after the first canto en route to registering the easy win. Christian Cacayuran led the Wolves’ balanced attack with 11 points, five rebounds, and two assists.The newfound league is led by chairman Joah Kiseo and co-chairman Marco Albarracin, owner and proprietor of Yoyi’s Pastries and Desserts.
