Lakay’s Pacatiw makes ONE Championship debut vs. Chen

TEAM Lakay prospect Jeremy Pacatiw finally makes his ONE Championship debut as he takes on heavy-handed Chinese Chen Rui in the undercard of ONE – “Battleground” on July 30 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

Pacatiw just recently signed with Asia’s biggest MMA organization, ONE Championship, in June after a three-year stint at Brave CF.

Pacatiw had 10 bouts in Brave CF and went 6-4 in the Bahrain-based organization.

The 25-year-old Pacatiw last fought on Dec. 27, 2019 and won a first round stoppage of Brazilian Felipe Efrain in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Chen is a seven-fight veteran in the ONE Championship cage. He had fought already once this year, a first round knockout loss to Won Il Kwon on Jan. 29, 2021.

Pacatiw is 10-4 with four wins via stoppage, while Chen is 9-2 with six wins by either knockout or submission.

The main event features the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title fight between defending champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao (370-47-9) and Prajanchai PK.saenchai Muaythaigym (337-51-3).

Also in the undercard, former light heavyweight and middleweight king Aung Lang N Sang (26-12) takes on Leondro Ataides (11-4), Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong (123-31-5) faces Tayfun Ozcan (83-8-3) in a kickboxing bout, Ritu Phogat (4-1) locks horns with Lin Heqin (17-2-1) and Victoria Lee (1-0) trades strikes with Wang Luping (2-2).
