Mipac launches tatak Mandaue 2

THE Mandaue Investment Promotions Action Center (Mipac)

has launched the second year of its Tatak Mandaue campaign, aiming to award more than 30 enterprises in Mandaue City.

Tatak Mandaue, a Mipac program that features enterprises in Mandaue City, aims to increase consumer traffic, especially now as the city is in the grip of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kristian Marc Cabahug, executive director of Mipac, said they awarded 26 enterprises in 2020; they aim to award 30 to 40 enterprises in the Tatak Mandaue’s second year.

Cabahug said they are currently evaluating more than 20 enterprises.

Last year, the Mipac evaluators checked the enterprises according to their innovative products and services and environmental impact, and these enterprises must be homegrown.

Cabahug said this year, they are looking for long-running businesses (50 years and above) in Mandaue City that are engaged in the manufacturing services, retail and the micro and small enterprises.

Cabahug said their goal is to help the micro and small enterprises in promoting their products as some of them have been pushed to operate back to their homes instead of renting space.

The group will also give recognition to big companies in Mandaue City such as San Miguel Corp. as they are considered as the prime movers of the city’s economy.

After launching the first Tatak Mandaue campaign, Mipac received positive feedback from the 26 enterprises that they recognized and featured, Cabahug said.

He said the Tatak Mandaue campaign has helped the businesses in promoting their products and their customers learned how to reach them.

The businesses were able to receive orders through text messages and deliver the orders to their customers via delivery couriers.

Aside from launching the second Tatak Mandaue, Mipac also launched its Experience Mandaue program, a counterpart of the Tatak Mandaue that focuses more on the consumers.

Cabahug said the Experience Mandaue program will encourage the consumers to visit its featured enterprises and to avail themselves of the exclusive promos.

He said the promos of the enterprises will be posted on the official Facebook page of Mipac. (KFD)
