AN ACCIDENT on N. Bacalso Ave. in Barangay Linao Lipata in the southern town of Minglanilla, Cebu resulted in the death of a motorcycle driver.Lt. Crisanto Arreglo, deputy commander of the Minglanilla Police Station, identified the victim as 55-year-old Domingo Aquino, a resident of Barangay Inuburan in neighboring City of Naga.The incident took place past 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022.According to initial investigation, Aquino tried to overtake another motorcycle when he hit the right rear wheel of a Canter truck driven by 38-year-old Luis Villaraso of Barangay Yati, Liloan.Aquino lost control of his vehicle and fell on the road.The Canter truck ran over his head, instantly killing Aquino.Villaraso was arrested and detained at the Minglanilla Police Station stockade.Arreglo said that if Villaraso and the victim’s family do not reach an amicable settlement, he will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting to homicide.
