AUTHORITIES in Central Visayas seized Tuesday night, June 14, 2022, about 10 kilos of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P68 million from two residents of San Carlos City in Negros Occidental.The illegal drugs were seized during a drug bust launched by Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Central Visayas on P. del Rosario Extension in Barangay Sambag 1, Cebu City.Arrested were Jacquelyn Baron, 49, and Cornilio Baron, 39, of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.Police Colonel Glenn Mayam, head of the Regional Intelligence Division-Central Visayas, said the drugs were transported to Cebu by sea.Police believe the suspects are operating in other areas in the country, considering the quantity of shabu seized from them.On Monday night, June 13, police from Lapu-Lapu City also seized four kilos of shabu.
