THE Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) described the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 2022 as generally peaceful, as of 7:05 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2022.Lieutenant Colonel Janette Rafter, deputy director for operations of the CCPO, said they did not receive any reports of “untoward” incidents, including thefts.The CCPO and the Cebu Police Provincial Office deployed 1,300 police personnel to maintain peace and order during the event.An estimated 15,000 people flocked to the Cebu City Sports Center for the grand showdown of the “festival of festivals.” Many people also lined the parade route to watch 50 contingents from different municipalities and cities in Cebu Province for the street dancing competition.The Pasigarbo sa Sugbo returned after a two-year hiatus as part of the Cebu Province’s 453rd founding anniversary.
