Pinoy fighters lose in Japan

CRIS Ganoza, Jon Jon Estrada and Roland Jay Biendima are the latest Filipino warriors to fall in Japan.Ganoza suffered his second straight defeat in Japan, suffering a second round knockout in the hands of unbeaten prospect Goki Kobayashi at the Sambo Hall in Kobe.Kobayashi stopped Ganoza at the 2:41 mark.Ganoza couldn’t find his groove on the big stage and dropped to 19-5 with nine knockouts, while Kobayashi is 4-0 with three knockouts.Jon Jon Estrada, on the other hand, lost to Yushi Fujita via majority decision.Japanese judges Arata Ikeda and Kenji Kondo had identical scores of 78-74 for Fujita, while Nobuto Ikehara saw the fight even at 76-76.Estrada also lost back-to-back fights in Japan and fell to 15-10-1 with 14 knockouts, while Fujita bounced back and improved to 10-9-4 with two knockouts.Biendima bowed down to Tetsuro Ohashi by a lopsided unanimous decision.Arata Ikeda and Nobuto Ikehara scored the fight with the same scores of 80-72, while Tomohiro Imamura had it at 79-73 all for Ohashi.Biendima dropped to 17-12-1 with 10 knockouts, while Ohashi returned to the winning column and is now 9-3-1 with two knockouts.
