ASIDE from senior citizens (A2), Cebu City residents who have comorbidities or those belonging to the A3 priority group may now walk in at the Noah Complex, located at the South Road Properties (SRP), to get their Covid jabs even without a prior schedule.
Vice Mayor Michael Rama in a Facebook post dated Aug. 24, 2021 wrote that A3 individuals who plan to walk in at the Noah Complex vaccination site should first make sure that they have registered for the City’s vaccination program through pabakunata.com.
Rama said they must also bring a doctor’s prescription or a medical certificate to be accommodated as a walk-in at the site.
The Noah Complex “walk-in vaccinations” for A3 individuals began on Wednesday, Aug. 25 and will end on Friday, Aug. 27, according to Rama’s advisory.
Still on Aug. 25, the City’s Vaccine Advisory Board officially launched its house-to-house vaccination program dubbed “Bakuna sa Inyong Tugkaran” for the in-house vaccination of bedridden individuals and those incapable of traveling to the city’s vaccination sites.
After conducting two dry runs for the house-to-house vaccination, the Board has set guidelines for the new initiative led by Dr. Peter Mancao, a private sector volunteer and officer of the Cebu City Medical Society (CMS).
Mancao said under the guidelines, two teams from the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation (Eruf) will conduct the house-to-house vaccinations with each team targeting to inoculate 12 individuals to make a total of 24 vaccinees each time.
For his part, Cebu City Health Department officer-in-charge Jeffrey Ibones said the City targets to conduct house-to-house vaccinations twice a week using Johnson & Johnson’s single dose Janssen vaccine. (JJL)
