AN ALLEGED small-time drug peddler was killed in Sitio Panaghiusa, Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City past 3 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022.Senior Master Sergeant Anthony Adizas of the Mambaling Police Station identified the victim as 40-year-old Macky Semontiza Resorrecion, a resident of C. Padilla Street in the same barangay, who originally hailed from Carcar City.Adizas said Resorrecion was sitting on a bench outside when the suspect, who was identified only by his alias Dave, a resident of Sitio Bayotan, Barangay Mambaling, approached him.Adizas said Dave shot Resorrecion in the throat, which killed the latter on the spot.According to initial investigation, the victim was selling illegal drugs in the area.It was possible that the suspect bought shabu from Resorrecion earlier and the two had a disagreement over the amount, Adizas said.Police are looking at two possible motives for the shooting: the victim’s alleged involvement in the illegal drugs trade and personal grudge.
