Suganob brothers to highlight Bohol boxing card today

THE Suganob brothers will headline the PMI Bohol Boxing Stable’s “Kumong Bol-anon III” today, March 7, 2022, at the Dauis Gym in Dauis, Bohol.International Boxing Federation (IBF) Youth light flyweight Regie Suganob slugs it out with Ricardo Sueno in the 10-round non-title main event fight.In the co-main event eight-rounder, Regie’s brother Rodel Suganob locks horns with veteran Vergilio Silvano.The 24-year-old Regie won his IBF Youth belt after a convincing unanimous-decision victory over previously unbeaten Jerome Baloro last Dec. 10, 2021, in Bohol. He’s currently rated No. 10 in the light flyweight division by the IBF.Sueno, on the other hand, hasn’t fought for over two years. His last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Taku Kuwahara on Dec. 2, 2019, in Japan.Regie is 9-0 with three knockouts, while Sueno is 10-4-4 with three knockouts.Meanwhile, Rodel, the older Suganob sibling, will face his toughest opponent to date against Silvano following a first knockout win over Garry Rojo.Silvano makes his comeback in boxing after leaving the sport in 2016 after a seventh-round knockout loss to Aston Palicte.Silvano is a seasoned veteran that has fought the likes of former world champion Katsunari Takayama and Jonathan Taconing.Rodel is 5-0 with a knockout, while Silvano is 21-7-1 with 12 knockouts.In the undercard, Jake Amparo (6-3-1, 1 KO) faces off with Ronald Ewican (5-2, 2 KOs), Kim Lindog (5-13-1, 4 KOs) squares off with Anthony Galigao (9-16, 4 KOs), Jhaleel Payao (17-1, 9 KOs) trades leathers with Dondee Pumar (10-8-3), Antonio Seismundo (6-3, 6 KOs) clashes with Ryan Maano (5-11-2, 1 KO), Angilou Dalogdog (2-0, 2 KOs) goes up against Mark Jequinto (4-8-1), John Vincent Pangga (3-0, 2 KOs) fights Pablito Balidio (4-2-2, 1 KO), Shane Gentallan (1-0, 1 KO) slugs it out with Rodel Fuentes, Christian Balunan (1-0, 1 KO) faces Jelou Libres, Rey Dogelio takes on Rich Neil Rosales and Reymart Tagacanao makes his pro debut against Henry Flor (0-1).
