A PUBLIC school teacher and another man were arrested by police in Barangay DAS, Toledo City after the teacher alerted a drug pusher that the police were conducting an operation against.

James delos Reyes Camangyan Jr., 32, a public school teacher living in Sitio Looc 1, Barangay Bato, Toledo City, will be facing charges for obstruction of justice.

Personnel of the Toledo City Police Station reported that they were conducting a buy-bust to arrest Charlie Abalde, a suspected drug pusher, at the DAS Highway Center in Barangay DAS on Friday night, July 2, 2021.

As police officers posing as buyers were already transacting with Abalde, they suddenly heard Camangyan shouting that police officers were present in the area.

After Abalde was alerted on the matter, he immediately fled from his house.

Police weren’t able to catch Abalde in the ensuing chase.
