Tech-focused summit slated in Cebu on July 29

TECHNOLOGY firm Ng Khai Development Corp. is staging the NK Education & Enterprise Beat (Businesses, Education, Arts, and Technology) Summit 2022 on July 29 at the SM Seaside City Cebu after a two-year hiatus. The conference is a fusion of several tech events that aims to not only to introduce technology solutions to businesses and educational institutions, but also provides an avenue for the academe to link with the industry.Company president Wilson Ng said that based on the feedback they’re getting on the ground, there has been a big gap in connecting the education sector to the business industry. He said there is a constant need to adjust the current education offerings to match the needs of industry. To recall, he had joined the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s business mission to Tokyo last June as part of Japan and Philippine governments’ promotion and cooperation in outsourcing and anime/game production. The mission was the first to be welcomed in the Asean-Japan Center since the pandemic. The business mission discovered that excellence in music, creativity, and arts is now an important driver of the economy in many countries, and is increasingly becoming a big business.Keynote speakers include Attorney Augusto Go, chairman of the University of Cebu and UCMed; DICT 7 Director Frederick Amores; Lexmark Philippines president Elena Palacios; and Aseem Roy, president of Cebu IT/BPM Organization.
