A MUNICIPAL councilor in Aloguinsan town was beaten to death by his next door neighbor inside his house in Barangay Kawasan, in the same town, on Wednesday night, Sept. 28, 2021.
Richard Siacor, 48, was arrested by local police after he was pinpointed as the one who killed Aloguinsan town Councilor Guillermo Pabroa.
Staff Sergeant Christian Elijay, investigator of the Aloguinsan Police Station, told Superbalita Cebu that the incident occurred at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Siacor was reportedly armed with steel pile and was vandalizing the house of Sacarias Ariola, a neighbor of the victim and suspect.
Siacor destroyed some of Ariola’s properties, including a Piso Wifi machine he installed outside his house.
After noticing the commotion, Pabroa came out of his house to try to pacify Siacor.
Pabroa also scolded Siacor for causing trouble at their neighborhood.
As he was walking back to his house, Pabroa was suddenly struck by Siacor with the pipe that he was holding.
Pabroa lost consciousness because of the force he sustained from the blow.
Pabroa was quickly brought to a public hospital but he died a day after he was admitted.
Following a hot pursuit operation, Siacor was arrested at his house. (GPL / JKV)
