A NEW honorary consul general of the Republic of Turkey has been named after Leontina L. Benedicto retired for health reasons.
Lilian Benedicto-Huan, who is from Cebu City, has been appointed by Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan upon the recommendation of Ambassador Artemiz Sumer.
Her consular district covers the Visayas.
As honorary consul general of Turkey, Benedicto-Huan is entrusted with “protecting all the rights and interests of the Turkish nationals who are in her consular district and of lending her assistance to the development of commercial affairs.” (PR)
