UC grad places 8th in Social Worker Licensure Exam

ELJIE Gian Bacalso of the University of Cebu has placed eighth in the August 2021 Social Worker Licensure Examination.

Bacalso clinched the spot with a rating of 80.60 percent, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced late Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021.

She shared the eighth spot with Talitha Charis Mari Frondoza Narido of Central Philippine University.

Only 612 out of 1,621 test takers passed the exam, the PRC said.

Topping the list was Digna Millondaga de Guzman of the University of the Philippines-Diliman with a rating of 83 percent.

Moriah Palero Tambura of Caraga State University-Butuan City placed second with a rating of 82.20 percent, while Jasminda Sanqui Libunao of Wesleyan University-Philippines in Cabanatuan City placed third with an 82 percent rating.

The others in the top 10 were Grace Aliman of St. Paul University-Tuguegarao (81.60 percent, fourth place); Amerjaphil Louie Angala Vidal of Wesleyan University-Philippines in Cabanatuan City (81.40 percent, fifth); and Julie Ann Cervantes Banania of Belen B. Francisco Foundation Inc.-Albay and Chelsea Rae Dionio Pioquinto of Western Mindanao State University-Zamboanga City, who shared sixth place with a rating of 81.20 percent.

Rounding out the top 10 were Leanne Feliz Ordillano Pastorpide of UP Diliman (81 percent, seventh); Marjolyn Perez Cuasay of Sacred Heart College of Lucena City Inc. (80.40 percent, ninth); and Angel Grace Aguila Atienza of St. Bridget’s College and Larry Angelo Mente Cabili of Christ the King College of Calbayog, who shared the 10th spot with their rating of 80.20 percent.
