Utzurrum: GT wins awards in Bangkok

Beauty-wise, Cebu has made positive inroads in the international scene, but do you also know that beauty product-wise, it has also gained gold points?

Our very own GT Cosmetics Manufacturing Inc. just won the 2022 International Innovation Awards (IIA) for its topnotch product line, GT Cosmetics Brightening C+ with Glutathione.

As one of the awardees in the IIA, the company has once again garnered global recognition. Its skin care product line won the award under the product category. These products are evaluated based on the innovation distinction, practicality and performance, commercial viability, and social and economic impact.

Indeed, beaming proudly was GT Cosmetics Manufacturing Inc.’s founder and vice-chairman, engineer Leonora Salvane, who’s no stranger to awards. GT Cosmetics chief operating officer and vice-president, Jellie Marie S. Villamor, explained: “Vitamin C reduces the level of damaging free radicals, brightens skin complexion through inhibition of melanin formation, protects skin from photo damage, etc. Tangerine peel extract provides a luminous glow to the skin by improving cell structure. Meanwhile, glutathione is a tripeptide consisting of cysteine, glycine and glutamate that functions as a major antioxidant and provides skin whitening through its tyrosinase inhibitory activity.”

The IIA recognizes outstanding Innovations to encourage companies to invest in them. It is spearheaded by Enterprise Asia, a regional non-government organization that champions entrepreneurship, sustainability and growth across Asia. IIA 2022 had 160 entries coming from 30 countries and convened at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel in Thailand.

With unrelenting success, GT Cosmetics has been in the industry for more than 25 years and is 100 percent Filipino-owned. Based in Cebu, it continues to improve and raise the bar, becoming one of the leading skincare manufacturers in the country.

Congratulations!
