Vayson wins WBC ABC Continental belt

UNBEATEN prospect Jayson Vayson won the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council (ABC) Continental light flyweight belt after a unanimous decision win over Indian up-and-comer Nutlai Lalbiakkima last June 18 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, UAE.All three judges scored the fight in favor of Vayson with scores of 96-94, 97-94 and 97-93.Vayson improved to 10-0-1 with five knockouts, while Lalbiakkima suffered his first career loss and dropped to 4-1 with four knockouts.Before the fight, Vayson was fresh from a no contest with Tibo Monabesa in a WBC International light flyweight fight.Monabesa initially won by majority decision but upon review, the WBC decided to declare the fight a no contest.
