Sa usa ka pakighinabi, si Quiapo Church Attached Priest Fr. Earl Valdez niingon nga dili sila masurprisa kon adunay mga deboto nga dili moapil sa kalihukan nga puli sa tradisyonal nga grand procession sa imahen sa Itom nga Kristo.
“For sure, devotees will direct themselves to the other activities at hand. There will be those who will choose not to join the ‘Walk of Faith’,” matud ni Valdez.
“There will be those who will skip the activity, probably because it is not the actual feast day or it is not what they are used to,” dason niya.
Bisan pa niana, si Valdez niingon nga sila nagtuo nga ang labing unang “Walk of Faith” makatigom gihapon og duolan sa usa ka milyon nga mga deboto.
“It may not be that many but we are still expecting the maximum… Probably less than a million,” dugang ni Valdez.
Alang sa moapil sa prosisyon, si Feast of the Black Nazarene 2023 Adviser Alex Irasga nagtuo nga moatubang sa bag-ong hagit ang deboto sa pagpamatuod nga dili sila yanong ‘panatiko.’
“We want to hold a procession that is orderly, peaceful, and has a high level of piety in order to help strengthen our devotion to the Black Nazarene,” matud ni Irasga.
Ang “Walk of Faith” usa ka relihiyuso nga prosisyon nga adunay mga kanta ug pag-ampo nga gikatakdang ipahigayon sa Quiapo Church sa unang higayon, ug dili maglambigit sa imahen ni Kristo.
Gipulihan niini ang tradisyonal nga “Traslacion,” nga nagpakita sa imahen sa Itom nga Nazareno ug nagtigom sa minilyon nga mga deboto nga nagtiniil.
Matod ni Irasga, ang prosisyon magsugod sa ala 1:30 sa kaadlawon sa Dominggo sa Quirino Grandstand o dayong human sa Misa sa tungang gabii.
“We estimate that the ‘Walk of Faith’ will run for around two hours. It is unlike what we have before that it takes us almost an entire day,” dugang ni Irasga.
