A 66-year-old woman has died after drowning at the sea at Sitio Sangutan, Brgy. Daan Lungsod, Medellin, Cebu on Saturday afternoon, June 18, 2022.Master Sergeant Rondino Toledo Pablo, team leader of Medellin Police Station identified the woman as Perla Causapin Arreglado, a native of Sitio Sangutan, Brgy. Daan Lungsod, Medellin, Cebu.Queddeng told SunStar Cebu that the family of the victim stated that the victim was swimming at the beach around 2:30 in the afternoon.Around 3 p.m, a neighbor found the victim floating and lifeless at the seashore.Personnel of Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office ( MDRRMO) immediately responded to the incident and brought the victim to Bogo-Medellin Medical Center, Medellin.She was pronounced dead by the attending physician, Dr. Yaphete John Cabalo.According to Evelyn Arreglado, daughter of the victim, her mother was allegedly under the influence of liquor.Early this morning, around 9:30 a.m of June 19, 2022, the family of the victim went to the Medellin Police Station to get a police blotter as a requirement for embalming the victim’s body.
