The event is for the benefit of Everlasting HOPE, a nongovernment organization that aspires to make a way for every child with cancer in the Philippines to receive proper medical, emotional and spiritual care.
Seasoned group fitness instructor Edgar Serinas, who was part of the first benefit for a cause for Everlasting HOPE last year, will lead the Dance Fitness Marathon 2.0 together with his group, Fit Interactive.
“We invite all those who are interested in dancing to join this event. You get to enjoy and be fit and at the same time help the children in need,” said Serinas.
All proceeds of the activity will go to Everlasting HOPE.
Last year, the event for a cause was held at the Mandaue City Sports Complex.
Serinas said the first event for a cause left a heartwarming experience, and prompted him to continue with the advocacy by helping in his own little way, which is through dancing.
According to the Everlasting HOPE website, its primary focus is to help the children and their families through providing access to medical resources, emotional and spiritual care and temporary shelter for the child and family while receiving medical care in Cebu.
During the dance marathon, there will be a gift-giving portion, where participants together with organizers give simple gifts to kids.
“I encourage the participants to bring anything for the kids. Any item would be appreciated,” he said.
Let’s Dance and Bring Hope Season 2 will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Registration fee is pegged at P400 inclusive of singlet and free water. Interested parties may contact Fit Interactive at 0915-647-9617. (RSC)
